Stephen Coal Bear returned to demolish the peach tree. He was only able to rip down one major branch before being chased off. And it was so hot, he probably was too uncomfortable to notice the "bear deterrent" around the tree. And in case you didn't know, bears are careful to spit out the peach pits.
